There’s an old adage in the wine business – great wine comes from great vineyards. O’Neill Vintners contracts over 15,000 acres of select vineyards from many premier winegrape growing regions throughout California, including Paso Robles, Arroyo Seco, Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey, Lodi, Clarksburg, Lake County and other renowned appellations. O'Neill also has company-owned vineyards located at our wineries in the Central Valley and Paso Robles. Our extensive vineyard holdings allow us to offer a wide selection of premium varietals and quality tiers to meet our customers’ wine needs.
O’Neill employs an experienced team of viticultural managers to oversee our vineyard assets and nurture the grapes until they are fully ripened and ready for harvest. Our grape sourcing capabilities can be quite nuanced, and our vineyard management systems allow us to focus on the little things that can lead to big results in the end. No aspect of the winegrape growing process is too small for our winemaking and grower relations teams to analyze, test and improve upon.
We consider our relationships with growers and their vineyard staff to be true partnerships. We are extremely proud to work with over 40 selected growers closely each year, half of which have been with us since day one. After crush, the entire winemaking team tastes every wine every week to ensure that our wines shine with authenticity and excellence. It is this dynamic aspect of the process that helps bring about increased quality and consistency with each new vintage.
