O’Neill Vintners & Distillers is the recipient of the 2021 Green Medal Leader Award, given to a vineyard or winery that excels in the three “Es” of sustainability — Environmentally sound, socially Equitable, and Economically viable practices.

O'Neill has been recognized as a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard & Winery by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance - a statewide certification program that provides third-party verification that a winery and/or vineyard adopts and implements stringent sustainable winegrowing requirements based on the industry’s code of best practices, and commits to continuous improvement in those areas.

O'Neill has received the TRUE Zero (Gold) Certification with the goal to reduce, reuse and recycle, diverting all solid waste from the landfill, incineration (waste-to-energy), and the environment to become a zero-waste certified winery.

British Retail Consortium (BRC) is a leading global safety and quality certification program used throughout the world by over 17,000 certificated suppliers in over 100 countries. The BRC Global Standards facilitate standardization of quality, safety, manufacturing practices, operational criteria and consumer protection.

NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF-ISR) is a leading global management systems certification body known for its superior technical expertise. O'Neill has been assessed by NSF-ISR and found to be in conformance to the following standard(s): ISO 14001:2015, to grow, harvest, receive, crush, and press grapes for the winemaking and distilling process as well as bottling and shipping of bulk wine and cased goods.

Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product

O'Neill is delighted to be a member of the Sustainable Wine Roundtable (SWR) the only global collaborative platform to advance sustainability across the wine industry from production to retail. SWR is an independent, nonprofit, multi-stakeholder roundtable whose 75+ members are advancing their sustainability impact through best practice sharing and collaborative initiatives so that we can collectively be sustainability leaders.

California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) promotes and supports organic food and agriculture through its premier organic certification program. CCOF is accredited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture under National Organic Program (NOP) standards. Since 1973, the CCOF seal has been one of the most recognized and trusted in the organic marketplace.

The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance is a cooperative marketing alliance made up of Paso Robles Wine Country wineries, vineyards, and related businesses. The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance is a 501c6 nonprofit organization operated under the guidance of a nine-member board of directors.

California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG) is an advocate for farmers, providing leadership on public policies, research and education programs, sustainable farming practices and trade policy to enhance the California winegrape growing business and our communities.

Wine Institute is the largest public policy advocacy association for California wine. Wine Institute brings together the resources of 1,000 wineries and affiliated businesses to support legislative and regulatory advocacy, international market development, media relations, scientific research and education programs that benefit the entire California wine industry.
